The Doctor will see you now.

My name is Patrick aka Dr. P, and i run Intensive Care Audio from my North London workshop in the United Kingdom.

I’ve been building guitar pedals, synthy bits, and circuit bending since my early 20s; rewiring children’s toys so they made monstrous noises and breadboarding circuits which i would tweak by ear until they unleashed some weird and wonderful sounds.

I started building pedals basically because I couldn’t afford them. I was obsessed with finding weird new sounds but they were always out of reach. So trying to keep pedals affordable while also still being high quality is a big part of what I try to do with ICA.

After designing a few things for myself and friends, I decided it was time to get a smart phone, sign up for the INTERNET, and start flogging some pedals.

Now here i am, and here you are. Let’s get weird.

A man wearing teal scrubs, a black fedora, and a face mask, sitting cross-legged on a carpeted floor in a cluttered room, playing an electric guitar. The room is filled with musical equipment, including pedalboards, guitars hanging on the wall, a black leather chair, and posters on the wall.
